Smart Quality Assessment for Tires

2019 – 2021

Implemented an X-ray video-based CNN classifier for tire defect identification, significantly improving quality assessment throughput and accuracy at Kavirtire. The system integrated with factory workflows for real-time decisions.

• Pre-processing pipeline to stabilize X-ray sequences and enhance defect signals.
• Model training and evaluation on historical production data; reduced false negatives.
• Integrated UI/API for operator review and automated flagging.
